My name is Heidi.  I’m the Founder, Chief Innovation Officer, and Official Taste Tester of Not So Simple Syrup’s line of signature simple syrups.  I created Not So Simple Syrup to help you make your very own signature cocktail possible with a line of syrups you can add to your mixtures to provide predictable fullness and flavor.

In 2008 I was searching for a way to bring my passion (some would say addiction) for cocktail creation from the bar to the kitchen.  As a professionally trained bartender and later caterer, I had long searched for a way to bring distinctive flavors to anyone hosting a party or gathering.  I wanted to provide a sure fire way to impress your friends and create unique combinations of flavors that people will remember long after the party is over.

My passion for the cocktail and never-ending propensity for invention led me to start Not So Simple Syrup.  I naturally asked my catering partner-in-crime, Barbie, to come along on the journey.  We are a small, local maker of simple syrups that spend our days and nights looking for ways to help you transform your own drink creations.   We use the highest quality ingredients, a local bottler, and I personally test every batch individually, so you can trust every bottle of Not So Simple Syrup.

Our passion is to create all natural syrups that inspire and stimulate your pension for amazing mixed drinks as well as iced teas and non-alcoholic beverages too.
